There was an exterior door on the side of the garage that was in pretty bad shape. I also want to maximize the usable space in the garage so I planned on removing it. With we weather, and colder weather on the way, I needed to tackle it now.
Needed to re-caulk the upper vents. While I was up there I could see that the edge tar on the lower roof was cracked and in poor shape. So I got some tar based sealant and re-coated it. Didn't get before pictures, but got a few after pics.
Fixing the dryer that was venting into the garage, and the poorly done vents on the side of the house. Fixing sealing/leaks around upper vents Also getting carpet removed, and fixing the thermostat and doorbell wiring.
Got some of the front rock dug up, and temporary pavers in place showing where the raised, planted area will be. Making sure it still allows for RV access. Also removed a decayed stucco "nub" that was on the side of the house. It was added after the house was stucco'd and wasn't worth keeping.
Got the last part of the deck removed. The joists are attached to the framing studs behind the stucco, and I'm not ready to rebuild all of that yet, so I just cut them off and sealed any cracks so that it's solid for the Winter.
